The WOCN® Society invites you to register for the first webinar in this year's Partners in Prevention: Culture of Safety two-part webinar series that is free to members and non-members.

The first webinar, Changing Your Viewfinder: Culture of Safety for the Patient and the Nurse, will be presented by Kathleen Vollman, MSN, RN, CCNS, FCCM, FAAN, and will take place July 19, 2017, at 1 PM Eastern Time.

At the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
  1. Create the link of advocacy to fundamental nursing care practices and a healthy nurse.
  2. Discuss transforming a culture that creates safety for the patient and staff while achieving evidence-based outcomes.
  3. Understand the current state of the practice for early mobility, pressure injury prevention, safe patient handling and falls.

The Compression for Primary Prevention, Treatment and Prevention of Recurrence of Venous Leg Ulcers Algorithm was developed in an effort to customize compression therapy for each individual with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI).



The Support Surface Algorithm was developed in an effort to provide clinical guidance for selecting support surfaces based on individual patient needs for pressure injury prevention.


The Peristomal Skin Assessment Guide (PSAG) provides basic guidance to clinicians on identifying and treating peristomal skin complications, including instructions for patient care and conditions that warrant referral to a WOC/ET nurse.
